The US markets continued their multi-week rally with the S&P 500 crossing above 1,850 and erasing the year-to-date losses for the entire index.
Good morning this is Kristin Bianco with the Week Ahead Market Report for February 24, 2014.
In overseas trading, Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average was lower by 0.2% and the Hang Seng was lower by 0.80% overnight. In Europe on Monday, the FTSE 100 was lower by 0.10% so far and the German DAX was flat today.
In economic news, the Case-Shiller Index data is reported on Tuesday, crude inventories are reported on Wednesday, initial jobless claims are reported on Thursday and pending home sales are reported on Friday.
In earnings news this week, First Solar (FSLR) reports on Tuesday, L Brands (LB) reports on Wednesday, Splunk (SPLK) reports on Thursday and Liberty Interactive (LINTA) reports on Friday.
