Investors are kicking off the new trading week sending stocks higher after reports that a deal has been reached with regards to the crisis in Cyprus.
Good morning this is Kristin Bianco with the Week Ahead Market Report for March 25, 2013.
In overseas trading, Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average was higher by about 1.7 percent and the Hang Seng was higher by about six tenths of a percent. The FTSE 100 was higher by about eight tenths of a percent and the German DAX was higher by about 1.14 percent.
On the earnings front, expect to hear from Children's Place Retail Stores (PLCE) on Tuesday, UniFirst (UNF) on Wednesday, Accenture (ACN) on Thursday, and Excel Maritime Carriers (EXM) as well as Yongye International (YONG) on Friday.
In economic news, expect to hear data on durable orders on Tuesday, pending home sales on Wednesday, initial claims on Thursday, and personal spending on Friday.
