Tuesday 4/3 Insider Buying Report: HCOM, XPL Tuesday, April 3, 12:27 PM ET
As the saying goes, there are many possible reasons for an insider to sell a stock, but only one reason to buy -- they expect to make money. So let's look at two noteworthy recent insider buys.
At Hawaiian Telcom Holdco, Inc. (HCOM), a filing with the SEC revealed that on Friday, Director Kurt Matthew Cellar bought 2,700 shares of HCOM, at a cost of $16.98 each, for a total investment of $45,846. So far Cellar is in the green, up about 5.1% on their purchase based on today's trading high of $17.85. Hawaiian Telcom Holdco, Inc. is trading up about 0.8% on the day Tuesday.
And on Thursday, Chief Operating Officer Walter H. Hunt bought $26,300 worth of Solitario Exploration & Royalty Corp (XPL), buying 20,000 shares at a cost of $1.31 each. Solitario Exploration & Royalty Corp is trading down about 3.5% on the day Tuesday. So far Hunt is in the green, up about 7.1% on their buy based on today's trading high of $1.41.
