AT&T (T) says its customers have been loyal in sticking with the company for iPhone service, despite the availability of two new carriers since AT&T's exclusivity contract for the device ran out.
MarketWatch reports that Glen Lurie, president of emerging devices for AT&T, said 'churn,' or the number of customers who cancel services, has not been a problem.
AT&T initially was the sole wireless service provider for Apple's (AAPL) iPhone, but Verizon Wireless, a joint venture of Verizon Communications (VZ) and Vodafone (VOD), as well as Sprint (S) have added iPhone service.
Lurie reportedly encouraged investors not to overlook other handset makers like Nokia (NOK) and Research in Motion (RIMM), as the competition ensures innovation.
