Today's Big Gainers: JBL, DYSL

Shares of Jabil (JBL) are higher on Wednesday after the company announced yesterday that it expects a third quarter profit of 44 to 48 cents per share on revenue between $4.1 billion and $4.2 billion. Core earnings, which exclude one time items, are expected to be in the range of 55 to 59 cents per share. The report also helped reduce concerns that the company's business could be affected by the Japanese earthquake.

Shares are higher by over 11 percent.

Dynasil Corporation (DYSL), announced that its research division, Radiation Monitoring Devices, was granted additional U.S. patent claims for advances in a detector material capable of responding independently to both neutron and gamma radiation. This advancement is important, as the most commonly available technology for detecting neutrons in Homeland Security applications, specifically neutron detectors based on gaseous Helium-3, is becoming impractical because of serious limitations on the availability of this gas.

Shares jumped higher by over 65 percent in afternoon trading.
