Today's Big Gainers: LXK, ANN, DHI, NOA, CITP Tuesday, February 2, 12:36 PM ET Lexmark International (LXK) earned 76 cents per share for the fourth quarter. A year ago, the company posted earnings of 23 cents.
Revenue came in at over $1 billion, up 12 percent sequentially in the fourth quarter.
Shares of Lexmark are up almost eleven and a half percent on the strong report.
Ann Taylor Stores (ANN) announced that, based upon stronger than anticipated fourth quarter sales and a gross margin rate that was slightly higher than previously anticipated, the company expects to report bottom-line performance for the fiscal fourth quarter of 2009 that will exceed expectations and be substantially higher than the fourth quarter of 2008.
Ann Taylor is up on the news, currently higher by about twelve and a half percent.
D.R. Horton (DHI) announced net income of $192 million compared to a net loss of $62.6 million. Additionally, net orders were up 45% to over 4,000 homes.
Shares of D.R. Horton are up almost 11%.
North American Energy Partners (NOA.CA) (NOA) posted revenue of $222.7 million, compared to $258.6 million during the same period last year. Operating income was $30.9 million or 13.9% of revenue, compared to an operating loss of $2.2 million in the same period last year.
North American Energy is up almost 16% today.
Manpower (MAN), will be acquiring COMSYS IT Partners (CITP) for a total enterprise value of $431 million.
Shares of COMSYS are soaring on the news, up over 32%.
