Wednesday's ETF with Unusual Volume: IAT

The iShares U.S. Regional Banks ETF (IAT) is seeing unusually high volume in afternoon trading Wednesday, with over 1.2 million shares traded versus three month average volume of about 118,000. Shares of IAT were up about 0.7% on the day.

Components of that ETF with the highest volume on Wednesday were Regions Financial (RF), trading up about 1% with over 8.8 million shares changing hands so far this session, and Huntington Bancshares (HBAN), up about 1.2% on volume of over 7.3 million shares. National Penn Bancshares (NPBC) is the component faring the best Wednesday, higher by about 2.5% on the day, while Washington Federal (WAFD) is lagging other components of the iShares U.S. Regional Banks ETF, trading lower by about 1.7%.
